Paro FC kicks off its first official and derby match a day before 2018 world Cup opens.

Paro FC started the match in spectacular fashion as Paro United FC struggles to defend the formidable striking line led by star striker Nawayug Shesthra. The striker scored 4 goals out of 10 goals conceded by Paro United at the end of 90 mins. Phurab, the young home grown striker/midfielder scored his first hat trick and played vital role in the centre to create ample opportunities. Prince George Karki and Tshering Dendup (Team Captain) scored one goal each to give Paro FC lead by 9 goals, and to add to misery Paro United defense gifted a goal taking the score line to 10.

As the game tempo slowed and the atmosphere flattened, giving the whole thing the feel of a friendly match. Paro United were lucky to be awarded a penalty and a free kick taking the final score to 10 to 2 at the end of 2 minutes added time.

It put the seal on a sensational and unexpected start to the Paro FC – and gives them a real chance of qualifying to National League 2018.
